![]() It was well worth it! One of the best highlights is camping while listening to the lions roar. If you don't want to drive over, you can walk and rent one of their cars for $10.00-$18.00 and use it to drive through the safari preserve. You can drive your car or RV through the elephants, lions, giraffes, rhino's, just to name a few of the many animals. It also has a few rides, a waterpark and a drive through safari. We also received discounted tickets to the Safari next door.(It ended up being about half-price, around $11.00 for adults, less for kids) It is close enough to walk over and great for the kids. They have a store, swimming pool, playground, ball field, pavillion, volleyball, horseshoes, bath houses, laundromat, basketball, shuffle board and plenty of space to move around. This is a nice relaxing campground for RV's, other recreational vehicles, campers and tents. More Show less They are lucky they are few choices in Palm Beach county. This park does not come close to living up to its hype. One dog suffered a bought of diarrhea my wife took out a shovel we carry to clean up the mess, park staff gave Her a hard time about properly cleaning up. Received several dirty looks and comments while walking our dogs. Not pet friendly, Every afternoon well before sunset they would lock up the lighted pet exercise area. How this place has won several KOA Presidents choice awards is beyond me. Once on the site found no cable and no WiFi. Had to get one neighbor to move his vehicle. Our snowbird neighbors had erected several elaborate screen rooms which severely restricted my ability to place my camper on my site. ![]() When we arrived we were told that they were almost full with a very limited selection of sites(Staffs attitude Take it or leave it). We reserved well in advance giving camper size etc, requested adjoining sites (2 reservations traveling together). Truly a little jewel. This place is a Canadian snowbird resort not a campground. There was also canoeing available and a boat ride. In the end we played at their water park and rode the amusement rides. We also did an enrichment where my children made toys for the animals. We learned so much about the animals and their native habitats. My children truly enjoyed being able to ride through and see all of the animals with the guided tour. First you drive through a safari trail in your own car at your own pace. It would be a better place to visit during the cooler months. It does get quite hot during the summer and the animals are a little more lethargic. You could easily spend half the day there. There is an additional area to get out and enjoy some rides, food, and shows. Your encounter with the animals depends on the heat and their mood, but it was helpful to be able to do the tour in our own car without getting the toddlers all out. It is expensive though so do try to find a coupon either on their website or in a brochure (find them in a hotel lobby). That being said, the kids really enjoyed the day. I expected them to be roaming free like the rest of the animals. I was especially disappointed that the lions were inside a fence. However, be aware that it's definitely and obviously a fenced area. They enjoyed seeing animals up close and in a somewhat open setting.
